Kory had a bunch of family come into town. So it was really nice to spend the whole week with them.

Here's a picture of little Owen. He is 8 months old and such a sweetheart. The kid sleeps more than any kid I've ever seen!!!

Here is a picture of Zander - I LOVE his cow hat. It even has a little tail :) LOL! Baby Z is now 5 months old and such a snuggler.
I love this picture of Grandpa Randy and Emme at the park.

The last night with Kory's dad we went out to pizza at JB's Italian Grill. It's one of our absolute favorites. Here's a really nice family picture of all of us:

After spending time with Kory's dad and his wife - we then went to Grandma Bonnie and Grandpa Tom's for the rest of the week. Kalli and Mark were also home with their 4 boys.

Here is AJ playing puzzles with Emily. AJ is 8 and is such a good cousin. He loved playing with Emily as did all the boys. Emme is very lucky to be surrounded by such wonderful cousins. Even if she is the only girl of the bunch!!

Here's a cute pic of Zander, Owen, and Emily. They actually sat for longer than expected....maybe it was because we crammed all 3 of them into 1 chair!!! It's kind of funny that the 5 month old and 8 month old are almost as big as my almost 2 year old!!!!

We were cleaning out Grandma Bonnie's basement and found this old Bob the Builder from Reese (Kalli's littlest). Emily LOVED playing with him and we was just her size...literally!!!! She kept saying "Bob Bob Bob Bob". She still asks for Bob now!!!

I really like this family picture of us:

This is the whole crew at Grandma Bonnie's. We were so happy that Grandma and Grandpa Miiller were able to join us this year.

Here is a picture of Emily in a bouncer from 1977....yep - this was also a "treasure" we found in Bonnie's basement. It worked perfectly and of course Emily had to try it out. She loved it!!!

We got to spend Thanksgiving with my family on Saturday. Casey and Mike hosted it at their house. Thanks guys!!! We had a blast and the food was fantastic. Here is a pic of Emme with Grammy and Grampa Walker.

I caught Grandma Miiller singing one of his famous songs to the 3 youngest grandkids. Matt Reel is the GM at the Mounds Country Club in Fort Atkinson, so that's where we went. We had a little too much fun....

Kory is just a guy in a powder blue leisure suit and I was Madonna.

Here's Matt's niece Melissa and her hubby Brett. Thought I'd post as we've been busy the last week or two.

Here is Emily painting her first pumpkin. She did an awesome job! It's sitting out on the front porch now.

Here she is all ready to go play outside. What a cutie pie!

This is my new favorite picture. She is such an angel.

This is the best one we could get of her newly pierced ears...yep....I got her ears pierced. LOVE THEM! She calls them her "prettys". She has square (fake) diamonds - they are georgous!

Here is Emily in her jammies with her new princess sparkly shoes....do you think we have a girly girl on our hands or what? I literally had to take those shoes and hide them so she would go to bed that night!!!

Here's Emily today in her cute overalls. She was wearing her headband like that all day. What a silly girl! (note the sparkly pink shoes again! ha ha)

It's hard to believe Emily will be 22 months in just a few days. She is learning and growing each and every day. She is still a little peanut, but is as fiesty as ever! She has her dad's lack of patience and her mom's stubborness - so she's quite the combination of the two of us! She talks non-stop. You can now understand a lot more of her words. She always has a lot to say - gee - I wonder where she gets that from :) She also LOVES being the center of attention and is always up for putting on a show for everyone - gee - I wonder where she gets that from - AUNT KACEY!!! :)

We are looking forward to dressing her up for Halloween this year, so we'll be sure to post pictures of our little rock star!

Our Sweet Little Angel...

Has turned into a terror!!! :)
If you don't speak "Emily"...I will translate for you... I was busy cleaning the house and decide to let her "help". First I let her clean the floor length mirror and sliding door with windex. She brought her little stool over and did such a good job. Then I was mopping and she wanted to help, so I gave her my dry swiffer and she literally swiffered the floor for an hour. It was hysterical. I am hoping she has Grandma Bonnie's cleaning genes!!! I HATE cleaning!

Walk for Hope

On Sunday, we walked in the Walk for Hope to find a cure for Breast Cancer. It was an emotional day as one of my mom's clients died on Monday after a 12 year battle with breast cancer. My mom was there for the 12 years of fighting, of shaving her head, and giving her hugs when she needed them the most. What an amazing fighter she was.

Here are some pics from our walk. It was a little chilly down in Chicago (it was actually in Glenview, IL), but we bundled up and had a great walk.

Mom and Emme:

Here is Emme in her shirt that Grammy got her - it says "Find a Cure Before I Grow Boobs", she got so many compliments on it. We had a SURPRISE weekend planned for her! I can't believe we actually pulled it off without her knowing. She knew we were going somewhere - but had no idea where. She was determined we were going to the Dells - until we got on the Beltline and headed south. Then she was sooo confused. She started out saying Platteville? Dubuque? The farm? ha ha We had her fooled!!!

We arrived in Galena at the Galena Cellars Winery for our first stop of the day.

Amy put together a box for her that explained her entire day. It was fun to watch her open it and she was so happy about what we had planned:

Here's Kacey showing off her "30" glass that Amy got for her:

Here is a picture of the girls tasting their wines - we got to pick 6 each:

Mother/Daughter - in their matching jean jackets :)

After the Winery - we went to Wild Clover Spa and enjoyed a treatment of our choice! Thanks also to Amy and her grandparents for letting us stay in their georgous home - it was amazing!!!

It's been a busy few weeks around our house. It's started cooling off here too - so we're enjoying the fall weather.

Here are 2 recent pics of Miss Em:

What's Emme up to now?

Well September has been a fun month so far. The weather has been georgous! I love this time of year in Wisconsin. Over labor day weekend, we went up to Hayward and spend a long weekend with my parents and Casey & Mike. It was fun. The boys got a lot of atv-ing in minus a few atv issues! ha ha I won't go into those :) The rest of us hung out, drank beer, shot guns...oops...did I say shot guns???

It was so much fun! It's a plastic flower holder...Emme decided it also made a nice hat :)

We also went on a boat ride for the last time of the season. Grammy even let Em drive! She loved it.

Since we got back from Hayward, we've just been busy around the house. Nothing too exciting. Emily is talking more and more. It's pretty amazing how every day she learns new words. We are working on saying 2 word sentences now. She hasn't quite got it down yet - other than "See Ya" - she says that all the time!!

Yesterday we went to Lake Geneva and met some friends at a park. It was really nice to see some of my High School friends and all their kiddos. It was a georgous day too! Emme had fun playing. When we got home yesterday, Em took a nap and then we were playing outside when she suddenly wasn't feeling well. She ended up throwing up out on the lawn. Poor little girl. In the middle of her puking session, the neighbors dog came over and ended up getting a shower of vomit!! Nasty! She threw up another 4 times last night - but woke up this morning seeming ok. She seems a little run down and more tired than usual, but other than that she seems fine. We've been taking it easy all day hoping she continues to feel well. One thing that was kind of funny out of all of this - was that she would take a drink of water out of a sippy cup and then about 15 - 20 min later she would throw up. So then she would make us go get her another cup. We went through about 5 cups last night. So this morning she woke up and was at it again....good thing we have a lot of sippys!!! She is too funny....like it's the cup that was making her sick!

Here is Emme at the park yesterday:

Here is Emme playing at the park with my friend Katie's son, Nolan. They are only 3 days apart in age:

Here are the two newest babies. We had Emily into the Dr last week because her eye swelled up again like it did in July. We're still not sure what is causing it. The Dr thought it might be a stye, but I think it was too far from her eyelid to be one. So who knows. We just used benadryl and it cleared up in about 4 days. It's frustrating to not know what is causing it. Hopefully we will figure it out soon!!

Em is 20 months old now!! She is still a little peanut though. She is growing, but slowly! I think she's about 23lbs now and she's wearing 18 month clothes still. Seems like she's been in them forever. She also has the smallest feet ever, she is barely in size 5. Some of her 5's fit and some are too big. Crazy!!!

She is talking up a storm!!! I bet she has 25 - 50 words now. She is doing so well with her words. We are working on counting 1 - 2 - 3. She says "2 - 2 - 2". ha ha Guess we'll be ready when December rolls around to ask her how old she is!!! Speaking of being almost 2 - she has quite the temper tantrums in her. Hard to believe such a sweet little angel can turn into such an evil child!!! She likes to get her way and if she doesn't she clearly lets you know about it. We have started timeouts at home and they seem to work. Ignoring her also works :) It's the public tantrums that aren't quite as easy to manage!!

I just signed her up for music class again at Prairie Music Academy. We did two sessions last winter & spring and she just loved it. Every night she asks me to sing to her...I am awful, but she loves it. So I wanted to get her back into music. Maybe she'll take after her daddy and be a music genius!!!! We start mid-september on every Tuesday night for 10 weeks. Yay!

Last weekend Kory had the truck home, so we got some cute pics of Emme playing around in it:

Our Dancing Queen

I'll let the video speak for itself...

Haven't blogged in forever!!

Sorry we haven't done a blog in so long. It's been such a busy summer. So below is a photo blog of the last few weeks.

Here's baby Zander around his baptism (about 8 weeks old):

Here's a really cute picture of Kalli and Kacey at Zander's baptism. It was a georgous day!

Tony built Zander a sandbox before he was even born!! Here is Emily testing it out with Daddy:

We officially gave up the nuk. Hard to believe she ever even took one! We went cold turkey which everyone told me not to do - but it worked for us. She was 19 months old and we just took them away - we didn't do any special "talks" or anything. We just told her she was a big girl and didn't need them anymore. It took about 3 days before she stopped asking for them.

We went to the Waupon truck show. Emily loved all the trucks. Here she is riding on the cooler with Daddy:

My sister Casey has started her own business, called the Purse Parties. So if you want a new purse - let me know! I know who to contact!!! Below is a picture of my first purse party - it was more like a daycare! The girls all had a blast though!

We did some finger painting a few weeks ago. Here is what Emily looks like after we're done painting! Seems like she gets more of it on her face than on her paper!!!

Andrea and I took Emily and Tyler to the Middleton Splash Pad a few weeks ago. It took both of them a while to warm up to it - but by the end they absolutely loved it. I am hoping to go again this weekend if the weather warms up a little!

I met Alison (with her 2 kids Morgan and Luke) up in Winona for a little reunion. We went this past weekend. We had so much fun looking around and seeing all the buildings and how different everything looks. It's so beautiful. We had a really nice time and I'm so glad we found time to get up there together.

Here's a pic of baby Luke at the pool. She's so cute. Quite the handful lately, but she's as cute as ever and has the sweetest little personality. She loves to give kisses and noonie's. Do you know what a noonie is? It's where you rub noses together and say "noonie, noonie, noonie". It's sooooo cute :)

Here she is with her baby and baby doll stroller. She loves her baby.

Here is a picture from before we went to the pool on Sunday. Had to show you how she has a big girl pony tail!!! I can't believe how long and thick her hair is getting!!

Here is Emily and I at the pool. I had to get this hat!!!

That's all for now!!!

Busy, Busy, Busy...

I can not believe it's the end of July already. Emily is now 19 months old. She is such a good little girl. She has a little attitude if she doesn't get what she wants, but don't all women?
She is saying a lot of words - some that we understand, but most that we don't. I think we can understand about 15 - 20 words, which I think is good for her age. She is not saying any 2 word sentences yet (unless "Mom Nah" counts!!).

We've had a busy month of July starting off with going to Hayward with my family for our annual trip. Kory and I had our birthdays - didn't do too much, just went to Buckhorn with his family.

We went to the Dane County Fair a few weeks ago. I got up early one Sunday morning and took Emily myself. We got there about 9am and am pretty sure we were the only ones there...the roosters were still cock-a-doodle-do-ing.... :) We had soooo much fun walking around and seeing all the animals. Emily loved the baby goats running around and even got to pet a cow. She's a brave little girl. About 10:30 Daddy called to see how it was going and I convinced him to come down. We had such a nice family day. Ended up eating way too much fair food, but had a great time.

Here is Emily telling me very clearly that she needs her "Nah" - a.k.a. pacifire. The hand pointing goes along with yelling the word Nah quite loudly. We are working right now on getting rid of the Nah. We are on night #2. It's going okay. Yesterday went a lot smoother than tonight. Tonight was rough...but she is asleep. Yay.

Here is Emily with her princess crown and sparkly shawl...actually it's a flashing party girl tiarra and some red garland!! But she has good imagination :)

We had a good friend's wedding last weekend. It was in downtown Madison and was absolutely georgous. We do have kind of a funny story behind this though...Kacey is looking at this picture wondering why I am wearing my fabulous dress we bought shopping on Saturday - but Kory...hmmmm...he's not wearing the cute shirt we picked out for him. Ok - so I bought him a dress shirt in size Medium...I thought it would fit...well....we got down to the hotel and were getting dressed when Kory puts the shirt on and was like...um...this doesn't fit. I'm like WHAT??? Oh no. So yep...it was 3:30, we had to be at the church by 4--so we went running down state street trying to find a men's shop. Somehow we ended up Lands End..so that's the shirt we came up with...hey - it worked!!! It's funny now, but at the time it was not so funny. He was not very happy with me buying him a Medium.

Here's a pic of Beth, Sarah (the bride) and me. We had such a nice time!!

And Beth and I had matching colors on that day!! Good choice Beth!

Not too much else exciting going on. Been playing with Zander as much as possible, trying to see him at least once a week. Hard to believe my little nephew is over a month old already. He's as cute as ever and did very good shopping on Saturday! He's going to be such a good little boy.

This weekend we are heading up to the Trab, so I will hopefully have some pictures to post next week.

New Toy

Kory bought me a new ATV yesterday - he found it on Craigslist in Milwaukee. I love it!!!

It's pretty blue. I don't know much about the specs, but it's a 500 Polaris Sportsman. They were taken by Krista at http://www.kristaroderphotography.com/ She does a great job and has taken all of Emme's professional photos. She is HIGHLY recommended from the Marion's.

Emme wasn't feeling all that well, but Krista managed to capture her personality - like always! You can see Emme's swollen hand in a few of the photos. We took her to urgent care right after the photo session - priorities, right? ha ha Krista had to do a little photoshop work on Em's eye which was also starting to swell and the lovely scars on her nose from her date with the concrete. Thanks Krista!

Here is the full link to the photos-you can order them right from here:
http://photos1.walmart.com/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=715749003/a=3242809_3242809/otsc=SHR/otsi=SALBlink/

Here are a few of my favorites:

Our Trip to Hayward 2009

As most of you know, we go to Hayward every year with the whole family. This year was the first year with all 3 grandkids. Mikaiya is 3, Emily is 18 months and Braenna is 1...so as you can imagine it was quite the experience!!! The first half of the trip involved cold and rainy weather - so it got a little chaotic. Eventually we would take the kids outside into the garage and just bundle them up. Let them burn off some energy.

Then that would get chaotic. So we'd haul them all back inside!! ha ha

Grammy was in charge of bath's each night...better her than us!!!! It was a nice break to not have to do baths and it was so fun to watch her keep each child happy! ha ha

Finally after a few days the sun came out, so the little ones got on their bathing suits and went down to the lake!!!

Throughout the week we tried...very hard to get a nice picture of all 3 girls. She's the best!) if you want a sneak peek of Emily's photos - go to Krista's blog at http://kristaroderphotography.wordpress.com/2009/07/01/emily/

She did such a fabulous job - as always. We should get the full CD by the weekend and I will upload them for everyone to see.

Now-you're probably wondering where urgent care comes in, right? Well earlier in the week Emme got a bug bite on her hand at daycare. Her hand was swollen and red, but the Dr didn't think too much of it at her 18 month check-up. She woke up Saturday morning with her hand about 3x the normal size and it was really warm to the touch. She also had a small red spot under her eye. We had her pictures at 9am, so took her to those. As Krista was taking pictures we were watching the red spot on her eye grow...seriously - within an hour it had gotten much bigger. I was like OK...Time for URGENT CARE!!!

At urgent care, they weren't worried about her eye - but thought that her hand was infected, so they gave us amoxicillin. She started on the antibiotic on Sat night while I went to my friend's bachelorette party. During the evening, I get a text from Kory that has a picture and says "Hi Mommy"

Yep...that was my baby girl about 1o hours after starting the antibiotics. I freaked!!! We decided at that point to put her on benadryl even though the Dr said not to. By morning it was a little less swollen and I got to finally see my baby. I was soooo worried!

We left for Hayward on Sunday and by Monday both her eye and her hand were much better. We still don't know what caused it. It seems to be some sort of allergy to bug bites. So we are watching her very closely to see if we can pinpoint the issue. Not fun!

18 Months...already!

The month of June has just flown by - I can't believe it's almost the 4th of July already!!! We've had a busy few weeks, but are really enjoying the sunshine and getting to play outside. Emme has a love of the slide- you know she wants to go outside when she's looking out the window - pointing - and saying - "Bweeeee" :) It's sooo cute!

She also love her animal sounds - we are trying to get them on video. So far she knows what a cow says, a dog, a cat, a duck and daddy!!! It's pretty darn funny.

She's been using her signs a lot too - mostly milk, more and please. It's fun to be able to understand her more and more each day.

She says book, car, truck, dog, ball, outside, balloon and a few others.

Em had her 18 month check up today and all is well!! Her head is finally shrinking. Dr Z looked at her growth curve and said--okay---seriously--I've never seen a kid's head get smaller :) But Em's did! ha ha She needed it!!!!!

Her height is 32.25" (69th percentile) - she grew over 2 inches 3 months!!!!

Her weight is 22lbs 8oz (28th percentile)

Her head circumference is 47cm (64th percentile)

--now her weight might be a little deceiving as he had a fill in nurse and she didn't know she was supposed to weight the kids naked. So Emme had a full wet diaper, clothes and shoes on!!!! We're guessing she's just under 22 lbs. He didn't feel it necessary to weigh her again. That still means she would have gained about a pound from her 15 month check up - which is great news! We've been stuffing her full of food!!!!

We leave for our yearly trip up north on Sunday - looking forward to spending a week with my family. Very excited for our first time with all the girls - Mikaiya who is 3, Emily who is 18 months and Braenna who is 1....should be quite entertaining!!! We might need a vacation after our vacation :)

Today was a fabulous day! We got to spend it at Aunt Kacey's with Emme's two newest cousins. She loves playing with Zander and Owen. You have to watch her like a hawk though because she doesn't understand the concept of being "gentle". She actually was trying to sit on Owen today!!!! She also likes to help, so she'll take a toy and wiggle it....okay...she shakes it like it's going to fall apart in front of the baby's faces. It's too cute. She's trying though!!! She'll make a good big cousin someday! I told Kacey and Kristen - before they know it - Zander and Owen will be running circles around Miss Em...she is the princess you know :) Grandma Bonnie has a sign in her house that 7 boys, 1 Emily.
